Life story: A mousetrap
On a peaceful farm there was a happy farmer couple. They have a chicken, a pig and a cow. Living in the house also has a small mouse. One day, Mouse happened to see a farmer and his wife bring a package. The mouse then peeked through the wall, wondering, “Don’t know what kind of food this package contains?”. And the rat was horrified to discover that the package was a mousetrap.
Rushing out into the yard, the mouse yelled in a panic: “There’s a mousetrap in the house! There’s a mousetrap in the house!” The chicken stopped by the soil, raised his head and said, “Mr. Rat, it’s really dangerous for you, but I find it has nothing to do with me. The rat trap doesn’t affect me.”
The mouse turns to Pig and says: “There’s a mousetrap in the house! There’s a mousetrap in the house!”. The pig showed sympathy and said: “I am very sorry that I cannot help you, I can only pray for you not to be harmed by that mousetrap.”
The mouse ran to Cow and said: “There is a mousetrap in the house! There’s a mousetrap in the house!”. The cow replied, “I am very worried about you, but that mousetrap doesn’t hurt me.”
Every animal in the yard was indifferent to the mousetrap … so boredom went back into the house, facing the scary mouse trap alone.
That very night, when everyone was sleeping soundly, a sound rang throughout the house – the sound of a mousetrap when a prey was caught. The wife immediately ran to the trap to see what kind of trap she had. In the dark, the wife did not know that a poisonous snake was hit by the mousetrap. Seeing the person coming, the snake bit a bite.
After that, the wife had a fever. To reduce fever, it is best for patients to eat chicken porridge. So the husband took the ax to the yard to catch Chicken to cook porridge for his wife to eat. The wife’s condition was not relieved. Neighbors and friends heard the news and visited his wife. To treat guests, the husband makes Pork meat.
In the end, the wife was unwell and died. Many people came to mourn their wives. The husband must kill the Cow to serve the funeral. Sad mouse witnessed the whole thing through the wall.
It would be better if we were less indifferent, to care for each other a little more and to be more united together in life.
